Hospitality, Evangelism, and the Great Commission

Adult Sunday School, starting on 3 November | 9AM, in the Upper Level Meeting Room

A four-week class in November. No reservations needed, just come as you are. We’ll explore how practicing biblical hospitality is less about thinking who to invite and what to cook, and more about where your heart is and how to share it. Led by Kirsten Walker, Jess Scerbo, Kathy Abbott, and Tyler Dueno.

 

Rake ‘N Run

Saturday, November 16

Rake ‘n Run was such a success last year that we’ve decided to bring it back in 2024! Trinity’s Youth Group and leaders are offering to rake leaves in the yards of those who could benefit. This year’s Rake will take place on Saturday, November 16th. Healthcare Professionals & Housestaff Meeting

Saturday, November 16 | 5.:30 - 7:30PM

In partnership with Rivendell Institute, Dennis and Stephanie Shung are hosting quarterly gatherings for healthcare professionals working in the New Haven area, particularly housestaff (interns/residents/fellows). By gathering together for mutual encouragement, we can behold together how the Lord is making a way in the wilderness and bringing forth rivers in the desert.

We plan on ordering Modern Pizza; please note any dietary restrictions. Families are welcome (childcare is confirmed for this date)! Please RSVP head count to Stephanie by Friday, Nov 15 and meeting location will be provided.

 

“Surviving the Holidays” Bible Workshop

Sunday, November 17 & December 1 | 12:30PM, Upper Level Meeting Room

For anyone who has lost a loved one, the holidays can be hard to celebrate. Surviving the Holidays is a Bible based 2-hour workshop that offers coping tools and support for grieving church members and people in the community. All-Church Thanksgiving Potluck

Sunday, November 17, Downstairs following worship

Join us in the fellowship hall following worship for this special time we look forward to each year. Please bring an entrée or side dish to share with others. As oven space is limited to keeping a few things warm, please bring your food cooked, plated and ready to serve. Crockpots are great for this event! We have a couple that can be borrowed so just ask if you need one. If you can also bring a pie for our popular pie table, let us know. Whipped cream and hot & cold beverages will be provided by the church. Help is needed for setup, during lunch and for cleanup. Contact Kirsten (fellowship@trinity-baptist.org) to volunteer.

Bridges of Hope Thanksgiving Food Drive

Join with other Bridges of Hope churches to donate non-perishable food items to families in the Mill River community. We have already secured a donation of 100 turkeys for the community, so we need sides to go with them! Bring your donations to the church Youth Group Room (classroom adjacent to fellowship hall)  by November 22.

 

Thanksgiving Day Meal

Bridges of Hope Christian Educators’ Event

Our mission is to encourage, equip, and empower educators according to Biblical principles. Meetings are open to all educators (public and private). Come ready to receive fellowship, encouragement and prayer! Hosted by All Nations Christian Academy. There is a $5 registration fee.

 

Carol Service

Sunday, December 8 | 4PM and 7PM

This year, Trinity will be hosting two traditional Carol Services on December 8th. The first will be a family friendly service beginning at 4pm, and the second service will begin at 7pm. If you enjoy singing or play a string, brass or woodwind instrument, we would love you to consider participating as a member of the choir or orchestra for these events. Longest Night Service

Sometimes the Holidays are a time when we feel the particular pain of loss. This small, quiet gathering is a space to remember, reflect and pray.

 

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Join us for a night-before-Christmas candlelight service, with music, readings, and a short message about the good news of great joy found in Christ.
