Welcome to Trinity
On behalf of the Trinity Baptist Church family, we’re glad for the opportunity to briefly introduce ourselves. Whether you are curious about exploring faith, a seeker on a spiritual journey, or a long-time believer, we’re glad to have you here.
We’re a church awe-struck by what God has done in Jesus. From the very beginning, that’s what Christians have called the good news, the gospel. In the gospel, God gathers us together, transforms us from the inside out, and sends us into our communities with renewed love and purpose.
As a church located in the heart of New Haven, we’ve seen how the gospel can bring deep flourishing to people from every walk of life–university students, young families, single and married, rich and poor, young and old. We’re a church for the whole city. And as we keep the gospel at the center of what gathers, transforms, and sends us out, God continues to reach people from around the globe right here, making us a church with a world-wide impact.
On Sundays, our worship is focused on Jesus. Our services are full of biblically-saturated praise, confession, thanksgiving, and clear proclamations of the gospel of grace. Visitors are always welcome, no matter what your spiritual background.
Of course, the life of our church family is about more than what happens on Sundays. In Christ, we walk with each other through the ups and downs of life, learning what it means to truly love one another as we have been loved by God. Practically speaking, this takes shape in many ways. Attending a mid-week Small Group, mentoring underprivileged kids at a local housing development, creating a piece of artwork for our next artist event, or delivering a meal to a church member in transition are just a few examples of how our gospel-centered community takes shape.
Jesus once said, “I’ve come that you might have life, and have it to the full.” We hope you’ll come to experience this reality for yourself. If you would like to learn more about our church, consider attending our Trinity 101 class that we hold each fall and spring. Lastly, if you want to speak with any of the pastors or staff, feel free to reach out to us. We’d be happy to get to know you better and help you connect to the church body.
Warmly in Christ,
