Demystifying Discipleship
Speaker: Bec Coburn
Maybe you long for godly wisdom from a woman who is older in her faith, but you don’t know how to take the first step. Or perhaps you want to serve as a mentor to women who are younger in their faith but feel unequipped, unsure, or short on time. This seminar will provide clarity, equip you with practical tools, and build confidence for gospel-centered discipleship in your everyday life and ministry.

Faith and Neighboring
Speaker: Carolyn Deschiffart
When asked the greatest commandment, Jesus responded to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Then he said, “The second is this:‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12: 30-31). Even as we desire to neighbor well, we can find the practical application challenging. Who is our neighbor? What does it look like to love them? How do we love in the midst of the busy chaos of life? Join us as we explore the call to be loving neighbors, the practical reality of neighboring, and how to love those who are around us.
❊
Faith, Technology, and Why It Matters
Speaker: Laura Bush
Smartphones. Smart homes. Tablets. Big screen TVs. ChatGPT, Alexa, Google. A generation ago, none of these things existed in the forms we now know. The pace of technological change has been dizzying. Tech boosters love the new and shiny (so do I!). We ask, "What does it do?" "How can I use it?" But perhaps we should be asking, "How is this technology shaping me?" "What are the ethical concerns, if any?" "And can an ancient book that arose from the Iron Age and before speak to us about these things?" We’ll ask the questions. We’ll talk about our tech. We’ll share a few strategies (but no easy answers). Perhaps most importantly, we’ll spend some time thinking about the tech we so often accept and use with little real thought.
❊
Grace-filled Mothering
Speaker: Mona Stevens
At times, the high calling of motherhood can feel conflicting and confusing. In an era of intensive parenting, the pressure for mothers to be experts in every field—from nutrition to technology—seems higher than ever. This seminar seeks to strip away the unattainable standards of the 'perfect mom' and to provide a sanctuary where you can put down the heavy backpack of 'perfection,' unpack the baggage that influences the ways in which we parent. Together, we will discuss how to move past the exhaustion of perfectionism and embrace a life of grace-filled mothering.
❊
Shaped for Intimacy with Christ: How Scripture and Study Draw You Near
Speaker: Pamela Hall
God creates us with different temperaments and personalities; it is only natural that this should be reflected in our worship and how we connect with God. Our study of scripture anchors our worship and our walk with Christ. Yet, who hasn’t experienced devotions or Bible studies that feel boring or spiritually dry, leaving us to wonder if we know how to study the Bible. In this seminar, we will discuss and practice various ways to study Scripture. You will learn how to identify your spiritual temperament and discover how you are uniquely shaped to know Christ intimately through his word.
❊
Abiding in the Vine: Time Management Shaped by Jesus
Speaker: Beth Lauer
Jesus calls us to abide in him, our true Vine, but we all feel how difficult that can be in our busy schedules. In this seminar, we will look at the ingredients and tools to manage our time and abide in Jesus during full days. In our session, we will workshop simple morning, midday, and evening rhythms, consider our ideal weeks and goal setting, and discuss a theology of interruptions. At the end of this seminar, you will leave with a personalized plan to help you abide in Jesus and connect with those around you.
Registration is open until Sunday, March 29. Please register early as some sessions may have limited seating.
