Thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed… for the battle is not yours but God’s.’

In our current sermon series, Old Stories for a New Day: the Gospel According to 2 Chronicles, we’ll be tracing the stories of the rise and fall of Judah’s kings after Solomon leading up to the exile.  We’ll look at the heart dynamics that each of these stories exposes in us, and how they point to the ultimate hope of Jesus and the gospel.

This year, I Heart New Haven Day is June 7! Gather together on the New Haven Green at 9am for worship and prayer before heading off to our serving sites. Sign-up for a serving site below and invite your family and friends! We can’t wait to serve with you.

The Creeds of the Faith

Adult Sunday School | Sundays, May 4 – June 15 | 9:00AM | upper-Level Meeting Room

In this series we will take a tour through famous Christian creeds examining their meaning, their implications, and how they can inform and encourage us in our walk with Christ. We join Christians who for nearly two thousand years have been confessing their faith using the words of these creeds. We also will cover the doctrine of Sola Scriptura to better understand the central, authoritative role of Scripture and how creeds can help to illuminate God's word. Taught by Tyler Dueno, Tom Schmidt, and Jon Hinkson. (Childcare provided).

Parenting in Line with the Gospel

Sundays, May 11 & 25, June 1 & 8 | 9:00AM | Lower-Level Meeting Room

In this 4-part series, we’ll explore how Scripture points us to the guideposts that shape faithful parenting—rooted in love, faith, wisdom, patience, and hope. Our goal is to encourage, refresh, challenge, and energize fellow parents, create space for honest conversation, and share the lessons we’ve learned (mostly the hard way) over 30 years of raising kids. Please register below so we can prepare for childcare. We look forward to seeing you there! Led by Geoff and Mona Stevens.

Women @ Work Small Group Invitation

Thursdays, June 5 – August 28 | 7:00AM | Trinity House Meeting Room

Are you a woman looking for a summer read and fellowship group? If so, we would love to have you join us as we begin “Even Better Than Eden – Nine Ways the Bible’s Story Changes Everything About Your Story,” by Nancy Guthrie. Please contact Bec Coburn for more information.

Picnics in the Park

Isn’t summer supposed to usher in a change of pace? Yes! Our intrepid fellowship volunteers will step away from their labors in the kitchen after June 22nd. Starting the 29th our fellowship opportunity after worship will occur outdoors. Our first Picnic-in-the-Park will be hosted by Wednesday Zoomers Small Group. Bring your own lunch, a blanket or chairs and join us in Wooster Square following our worship service.
